Family Art Forum
On the neighborhood level, the Art House host 48 family art days, yearly, in a free outdoor open forum. The Family Art Forum uses the exterior south wall of the Art House and its wide adjacent sidewalk where our family art workers bring out an array of furniture and art supplies, creating a festive participatory atmosphere. The format was designed as a way to engage not only the participating families, but each and every passerby due to its physical presence at our residential intersection.

“Music To Freak To has been the baddest party in San Francisco that last 3 months. Â It has been an opportunity for Con Brio to make a small Mission District venue it’s home, and to invite great bands of many styles to share in the action. Â Frequent guest musicians in Con Brio’s sets and collaboration between bands has made each night unique and unforgettable. Â The band has also recorded each of their sets in beautiful multi-track audio and will be assembling the material for an upcoming live album release later this year, with the goal of capturing the sweat, grit, soul and booty- shaking fun of a Con Brio show. Â Don’t miss out on closing night on April 23rd, with 4 great bands performing, culminating in Con Brio bringing out their best moves yet for their final set of the series.” – Jonathan Kirchner, Con Brio

“Xandra Corpora’s vocals are stunning….The band, tight as a bungee cord, is a funky, acoustic, jazz/blues casserole. That’s right-casserole. What’s more, they kill it live.” –bamm.tv
“[A] concoction of bass-heavy funk rhythms, layered organ and piano, sumptuous trumpet and tenor saxophone, and tight percussion… the band’s sound is that of seasoned musicians balancing respect for technical composition with a healthy love of improvisation — and clearly having a blast with it.” –East Bay Express
“…sophisticated and mature sounding music, fusing jazz, blues, soul and folk all together into one fantastic live experience” –Remezcla.com
