Celebrate the New Year with accordions! Two of the Bay Area’s most accomplished accordionists bring their groups to the Red Poppy for a special double-header evening. THE BAGUETTE QUARTETTE is a Bay Area group that plays the music heard on the street corners and in the cafés and dance halls of Paris in the ’20 and ’30s. Led by accordionist Odile Lavault, its repertoire consists of valses musettes, tangos, marches, pasos dobles, and fox trots. “Accordionist Odile Lavault is the personification of 1950s Paris.” -Peter Stack, SF Chronicle “The Baguette Quartette has carved out a niche for itself as the Bay Area’s premier musette band.” -Lawrence Kay, SF Weekly Odile Lavault: accordion Rachel Durling: violin John Schott: guitar Richard Trevor: bass baguettequartette.org Rob Reich, front man of the ROB REICH TRIO, is an acclaimed, Bay Area-based accordionist, pianist, and composer.
