Two intimate evenings in the acoustic spirit of a.Muse Gallery nestled on a Alabama Street in the Mission District. Â
After months on the road touring and honing his craft, Mark Growden celebrates his return home with two evenings of his favorite pastimes, singing songs for people and singing with people.Â
 Â
Growden will be playing songs from his most recent album Saint Judas, dusting off old favorites that he hasn’t played in years, and debuting new material that he’s been saving for his home crowd. If you’ve never experienced Mark Growden’s gorgeous music, you’re in for a rare treat.
And if seeing Mark perform on November 5th gets you inspired to sing even more, you can come to the same venue on November 6th for a complete evening of sing-a-longs, call and response, and other participatory musical happenings.
a.Muse is a gorgeous and intimate venue in the Mission District of San Francisco. The audience is limited to 50 people, the perfect room for Growden’s work.
Porto Franco Records
                                        Â
Porto Franco has received various local awards, most recently Meklit Hadero was named one of three “Best Indie Acts of 2010” by San Francisco Magazine alongside The Dodos and Thao Nguyen. The review accompanying the award called On a Day Like This… “an absolute joy of
a debut album”. The Bay Guardian called Porto Franco Records “Best Mission Music Evangelists” in their “Best of the Bay” issue.
From the beginning they have been thinking about the label’s mission as a supplier and supporter of locally grown music – 15 of our 18 artists are from the Bay Area.
